Applicants seeking visa to India are advised to apply at indianvisaonline.gov.in and not to deal with other websites as they do not belong to the Government of India and therefore should not be relied on for e-Tourist Visa services.
Of late, increased activity of online scams, especially from Senegal, targeting person(s) with the intention to cheat have been noticed by this Embassy. The modus operandi varies from posing as a young orphan girl with large heritage, transfer of unaccounted funds etc. Once the victim responds to their mails, the scammers start asking for funds under one pretext or other. Indian nationals are, therefore, strongly advised NOT to respond to such mails/correspond with such person(s). If anyone does so, it will be at his/her own risk.
